This is an antique closed mouth, turned head circa 1880s Kestner Alphabet “K” doll with delicate, perfect (no chips, cracks, hairlines) bisque on a leather body, that has some patches where the sawdust has leaked out but is stable now. She has fixed brown glass eyes and a blonde human hair wig which is very full and slightly curled at the ends. She wears an antique, cream-colored dress with a lace on the bodice, that includes an accordian-pressed, film-like, lace trimmed overlay stacked in two separate layers over the skirt. The dress snaps up the back. She is wearing vintage white pantalettes and a white half slip, with cream colored stockings and French-styled three-strap shoes. A tiny gold bar pin with an enamel pink rose adorns the middle of her bodice. An antique flat bonnet in brown straw, with cream-colored flowers and greenery is affixed to her head with a jeweled hatpin and completes her ensemble.
