This antique socket-head girl is in very nice condition. Her dimpled bisque face has a lovely smooth, pale French-market look to it, with blue-gray sleep eyes. She is sporting a beautiful light auburn-brown (new) Wendy Feidt wig. She also has the desirable high-knee flapper body. Her sweet, richly-embroidered muslin dress is just adorable on her. She also has two-piece undergarments and (newer) socks and shoes. She’s a wonderful doll for a great price. NOTE: Photo props not included: DOLL STAND, POTTED FLOWERS. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination. Her blue sleep eyes function. Her composition flapper body has its original paint with no touch-ups. It is in great condition, with small areas of paint loss and small chips typical of a doll body of this age. The antique dress has age toning/staining foxing. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not.
