Antique All Bisque Doll 4 German Little Boy mold #31 32 Blue Glass Eyes Blonde
Antique All Bisque Doll 4 German Little Boy. He is incised faintly mold #31 -32 and 10 (or 1/0) size on the nape of the neck. I believe he was made by C. Kling & Co – Germany. He has Blue Glass Stationary Eyes and a Blonde Mohair Wig. He is wearing his All Original Tan Wool Felt Suit Costume & Matching Cap. The suit was originally blue/navy blue but has faded over time to the tan. The blue is faintly visible under the collar. The black single strap slippers have a small heel and tan soles – the ribbed white stockings have a blue stripe. The doll is strung with a socket head and is jointed at the shoulders and hips. They can be felt under the clothing – the two piece jacket and pants are sewn on and can not be removed without altering his originality. Note in the last picture that there is no seaming at the seat of his pants – the fabric was simply wrapped at the waist to secure them. There are no underclothes – his cute little behind is peeking out back there! There is no damage noted to the bisque. His stringing at the neck is a little loose but he will hold position. The form fitting clothing prevents him from sitting down and limits his movement. The edges of the slippers have light paint rubs and there is a single dot of black paint on the left stocking and some rust on the back leg. The suit jacket is faux double breasted and originally had two rows of tiny bead’buttons’. Only two beads remain.
