Antique Alt, Beck & Gottschalk #1362 German Bisque Doll 25 IN, Pierced Ears
Inner corner of her right eye has a small fleabite… I use flesh colored eyeshadow to touch up fleabites on my dolls. There is a small stain on the right side of her face… No cracks or other chips on her bisque. Composition body shows little wear, all fingers are accounted for, her left heel has exposed composition… There’s a loose small piece of plaster inside her body, and you can hear it moving around when you handle the doll. Strings are good, she holds poses nicely. Hands are easy to turn. Eyes open and close as they should. I gifted her a Kemper wig, made of 100% Modacrylic fiber. Please note that I left the glue and hair residue on her bisque as I find it easier for the wig to stay in place. The glue is water-soluble and easy to remove if desired. Her dress is made from a lightweight, silky satin-like fabric. Her hat, bloomers and slip are made of the same fabric. She is missing her felt tongue, so I used a piece of red craft paper as a replacement since I don’t have any red felt available. No musty smell or any other odor has been noted.
