Antique German China Head Doll, 1860’s, Civil War Hairdo, Vtg. Outfit 21
This beautiful antique German china head doll was made by the Kestner Company in the 1860’s, and is 21 tall. She has a Civil War flat top style hairdo that only has a few tiny rubs in the back. Her head, shoulders and lower arms are made of china, and her body and legs are of cloth. The body and limbs may or may not be original to the doll. Her pretty ivory colored Victorian walking costume is well-made, and includes a lace trimmed sleeveless blouse and a matching lace trimmed jacket and skirt that is longer in the back. Her hat matches the outfit, and is held on by removable double-sided tape. She also has an older petticoat and lace stockings on her cloth lower legs. She’s in very good condition for her age (over 150 years). Please ask if you have any questions.
