Great example of antique invention! The doll is approximately 15 tall. The head is made of wax. As all the antique wax heads this one also has paint imperfections and other wear, but overall condition is good. The head should turn when pulling the strings, however we don’t know how it works. The head is smoothly turns by pushing the head with hand. The molded detailed shoulder plate and hood most likely are made of papier mache. The body of the doll is made of carton and cloth and has original stamp with the patent. The doll has a crier, which is missing strings, so we can not check if this works or not. The body and composition lower limbs are in great condition. The clothes of the doll look original. The doll is clean and looks almost unthatched. Some stains on the cloth body.
