Beautiful antique German Räuchermann (smoking man) figurine, hand-carved and hand-painted. This piece comes from an early 1900s-1940s era family collection and features a hunter with pipe and rifle, accompanied by a carved dog on a painted wooden base. Classic rustic German folk-art style with wonderful character and detail. These older smokers were made in small workshops in Germany and the Erzgebirge region, long before modern mass-produced versions. The carving marks, paint style, and construction all point to an early, authentic piece. Shows age-appropriate wear consistent with an antique folk-art carving.
