This is an antique 12 German Bisque Simon Halbig doll with her Original FAO Schwartz tag and layette of clothes and toys SEWN inside the 3 tier basket. What a fabulous original doll. The compo jointed body is still strung very tightly which shows this doll was never played with. There are pink satin ribbons that were on the basket that have become loose and so they are on the bottom of the basket some of the silk ribbons have become faded and silk does not age well but they are included. You may want to re insert them on the basket but the basket is in excellent condition. This desirable Geman bisque Layette 126 Simon Halbig baby doll in excellent condition with clear pale see the photos she has beautiful light color bisque with no flaws. She has blue sleep eyes with orig wax lids. I have not removed her wig. This doll is perfect. This doll will be perfect to fit on the lap of a larger doll or in a baby cradle or keep her in this darling layette and bring her to the be next doll competition to show her rarity. Also she is small enough to fit in a doll shelf if you prefer to admire her outside her original layettebasket. This beautiful quality Simon Halbig was likely a rare item produced in Gemany for the FAO Schwartz store. I have seen other FAO Schwartz dolls over the many years in the doll business but they are truly a rarity. And one with the original basket with layette that is still intact in this condition is a collectors dream. This beautiful baby will be the perfect addition to your collection.
