Antique Vtg 1925 German Composition Candy Container Easter Stork Near Mint
I think antique candy containers are just the best things, ever. They really are part of the “how do these things survive”. This one is really special, as it’s in near mint condition, with one flaw – a slight stain on the cover under his tail. It’s very faint, and I didn’t see it until I started doing close up photography for him. The container has patina – the aged look things get over time, with some age toning to the cardboard container. The stork and the eggs are just wonderful. Hand painted with no damage, cracks or crazing, and no repaints. It stands about 4 inches tall, and is marked Germany on the bottom. Storks were a very big design element in the 1920’s.
